On the fun side, we celebrated K’s birthday, yet another reason to indulge in chocolate.

Notes
The 'before' version highlights the chocolate part too much. Considering the sentence comes in a company newsletter, I shortened it to the 'after' version.

So I have rephrased. Also, timelier? We only say timely. Do not say 'organisation's' , i.e, do not form the possessive of a non-living thing.  Have also cut down the sentence for brevity.
